Delete your TroutTracer account

In the app

1. Open TroutTracer and go to Profile → Account.
2. Tap Delete account and confirm.

The account is deleted at once. Want to keep your trips? Download them first in Profile → Data & privacy → Download my data (CSV).

Without the app

Email privacy@trouttracer.eu from the email address of your account and ask for it to be deleted. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

• your account (email, username, profile picture, settings and cast model);
• your trips, fish, routes, hotspots and photos in your account;
• your buddies, buddy requests, shared catches and messages.

Copies in the database's automatic backups disappear within 7 days. On your phone, the data stays until you remove the app or delete it there.

What is kept

Only anonymized, generalized data for analysis is kept. It never contains your name, email, username, exact positions, route, photos or notes. It holds, for example, the region and type of coast, the date, a two-hour time slot, rounded conditions and each fish's length and weight. When your account is deleted, its random code is replaced, so this data can no longer be linked to you or your phone. Read more in the privacy policy: trouttracer.eu/en/privacy.
