TroutTracer terms of use
TroutTracer is a fishing log for sea trout anglers on the Danish coast, with conditions, a rating, maps and sharing with buddies. It is provided by InfoAid, Lærkebakken 32, 3460 Birkerød, Denmark (CVR 25350413). By creating an account you accept these terms and the privacy policy (trouttracer.eu/en/privacy).
Who may use TroutTracer
You must be at least 13 years old. You need an account with an email address you can receive mail at, and you may only have one account. Keep your phone and email safe: whoever can read your email can sign in to your account.
Price
TroutTracer is free to use. If that ever changes, you will be told in the app in good time, and nothing you have already logged will be locked away.
Your data
Your trips, fish, routes, hotspots and photos are yours. TroutTracer keeps them in your account so you can use them on a new phone, shows them only to the buddies you choose, and uses anonymized data as described in the privacy policy. You can download your data and delete your account at any time (trouttracer.eu/en/delete-account).
Fair use
Use TroutTracer for your own fishing. Do not:
- upload photos or text that you have no right to share, or that are offensive or unlawful;
- create fake accounts, pretend to be someone else, or log made-up trips or fish to mislead others;
- try to get at other anglers' data, overload the service or get around its limits;
- copy the service's data (conditions, depth map, places) in bulk.
TroutTracer may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. You will be told why, unless the law prevents it.
Conditions, rating and maps are guidance only
The conditions, the rating, the depth map and other information in TroutTracer come from forecasts and models and can be wrong or out of date. They are not for navigation and do not tell you whether it is safe to go out. Always judge the weather, the sea and the wading conditions yourself, and follow the rules for fishing and access where you fish. You fish at your own risk.
Liability
TroutTracer is provided as it is, without any promise that it is always available or free of errors. As far as Danish law allows, InfoAid is not liable for indirect loss, lost data or harm that comes from using or relying on the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law.
Changes and closing down
TroutTracer may change, add or remove features. If these terms change in a way that matters to you, you will be told in the app (Messages) before the change takes effect; if you do not accept it, you can delete your account. If TroutTracer closes, you will be told at least 30 days before, so you can download your data.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes go to the Danish courts, but as a consumer you may also use the courts and complaint bodies where you live.
